The 70th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest

This year the annual Eurovision awards were held at the Wiener Stadthalle in Vienna, Austria. Once again, setting a global benchmark for live television production, combining large-scale performance, bold creative direction and cutting-edge stage technology in front of a worldwide audience.

The Eurovision Song Contest has always pushed the boundaries of live entertainment. From unforgettable stage reveals to cinematic visual storytelling, the competition continues to redefine what audiences expect from a global live broadcast.

Broadcasters from 35 countries participated in the contest with each delegation requiring its own creative vision. From staging neon to more complex visual LED displays and props, LC provided custom LED solutions for each individual broadcaster. Romania’s performance included neon flex to create a striking visual.

LED Creative was proud to support the production, supplying scenic LED solutions for the main Eurovision stage as well as a series of bespoke delegation and show-specific installations throughout the contest.

At the centre of the production was a major deployment of LED Creative’s Sigma 96 system across the main stage. Powered by Gigabyte drivers and controlled via LC Pixel Mappers, the system formed a core part of the scenic architecture, delivering high-impact visual effects, depth and flexibility across every performance.

In total, LED Creative supplied 1,000 metres of Sigma 96 for the main set installation. Working closely with Lighting Designer Tim Routledge and the wider creative and production teams, the system was seamlessly integrated into the stage design, enabling rapid visual transformation from act to act while maintaining a cohesive broadcast aesthetic.

Alongside the main stage installation, LED Creative delivered a further 500 metres of scenic LED for 10 delegation and show-specific installations. These bespoke elements supported individual performance concepts from participating countries, including Malta and Romania, alongside additional acts within the show. A range of LED Creative product solutions were utilised across these builds to meet the specific creative and staging requirements of each delegation, including wireless pixel control and video mapped options.

The project was delivered over a six-week installation period, requiring close coordination across lighting, staging and broadcast departments to ensure flawless integration and performance throughout rehearsals, semi-finals and the Grand Final.
